Well another season draws to an end and thoughts of what on earth i can do to fill those long summer saturdays. dont even have england matches to look forward in euro 08.looking back york citys season it was really over before it started with the dreadfull start to the season. the board saw sence and fired billy mckwen (not before time) by all accounts he was just a bully. Colin Walker has brought some pride back to the club.embarking on 17 match unbeaten run. Refs have improved a touch -(no Procter green this seaso yippe i hear you say. you know the the worst ref we had all season came by the name of Bratt who took charge of yorks fA TROPHY semi final second leg against torquay. he was dreadfull , thankfully we dont have to put up with him on a regular basis as he was a FOOTBALL LEAGUE REF!!!. so we should be happy with what we have as if MR Bratt is a league standard ref they can keep them in the league. Good luck those teams in the play offs and all the very best to Aldershot in league 2 next season. Mark allias cityfan
Come on you Minstermen. Just Torquay stand between York and an Away day at the best stadium in the world. if City play like they did against Aldershot recently then it will be a dead cert york win. Should 2 great games all same.
Looking forward to york city's Trophy semi against Torquay. Two sides who like to play football on the deck and not kick and rush. It will be a very close tie and very hard to call. could go all the way to penalties(PERISH THE THOUGHT) All the same i have booked my seat on the train and packed my bucket and spade. COME ON CITY!!
Stuart Fleetwood's goal drought reminds me very much of Clayton Donaldson's plight last season for York. As soon as the vultures came sniffing around him you could see the difference in his performance. It dipped to a level that you could not believe he was the same player. Then after signing a pre-contract agreement with Hibs he didn't score again for 9 games. However when he did regain his composure he hit a hat-trick at Cambridge, then was on the scoresheet again on a regular basis. Fleetwood will start scoring again (but not against York please) when he gets his head right again. One thing Stuart should be applauded for is his loyalty to Forest Green. In this climate of greed it's a very rare show of gratitude.
Have Sentanta fallen out with York City and indeed Northern clubs in general? It would appear that York is suffering from a bad bout of Body odour. We have not featured Live since we demolished Farsley 4-1 away on Nov 4th .We are on a 14 game unbeaten run, have the best away form in the division and Colin Walker is in with a serious shout of winning the manager of the month award for the 2nd month running and he's only had the job 2 months. Since York's last TV appearance Torquay have been on 3 times. Stevenage 3 times and Woking 4 times (after tonight's game). What have they got in common SOUTHERN clubs? Stats speak for themselves since Nov 5th sentanta have shown 14 live Bluesquare/sentata shield matches in which we have seen 6 Northern teams and 22 Southern teams. This may just be shear coincidence that these were the most attractive fixtures at the time of planning but I very much doubt it. Sentanta play the Game and stop favouring the Southern Clubs or are you Sky in disguise like last season when all we had was Oxford rammed down our throats. Right i'm off back to work now.
The Directors and Management have got a serious attitude problem. On 3 issues over the upandcoming Sentanta shield game V york the have been obstructive. 1. the turned down Citys request to switch the tie from Feb 5th to Jan 29th no reason given Just a flat no. Then due to police instructions citys FA Trophy game With Farsley has been switched to Sunday 3rd Feb, This would leave us with just 1 days rest before the Vic game. City asked Northwich if would agree to put the game back 24 hours to wednesday Again they refused. However on appeal the conference have instructed that the should take place on Wednesday. Fianly due to the change of date and the fact England are playing the same night. York asked northwich to agree to the addmission prices been lowered for the game YOU GUESSED THEY SAID NO. Come on just how many Northwich fans will make the journey half a coach at best. So the only cash going into Northwich's bank will from the pocket of York fans. Northwich one day you may want york to do you a favour,it willbe very intrested to see Yorks reaction, personaly i would tell you where to go. Grow up Northwich

@dodgycarpet unfortuantly there is no point complaining as the conference have no ears.I have complained to them by letter and email 4 times this season.on each time i recieved no reply. Im sure by my previous post people will say iam to fair to my fellow supports in the blue square(s) It would appear they only wish to keep sentanta happy and forget about us the suffering fans. we have all been messed about this season at short notice. Transport plans and accomadation have had to be cancelled with a great loss of money to some that iam sure. I personaly have lost £560 this season due to the above mentioned reasons.Do i think its wrong that sentanta can demand what they want Yes. Do i think the conference board are spineless and either wont or dont want to upset Sentanta in its 1st season in covering the league ..Yes. the latest change to effect the fansis the last game of the season is we all have to kick off at 5.15pm all because Sentanta want to show 1 game out the complete programme. so thats 24 clubs all need the restructure thier match days plans alonn woth thousands of traveling fans who will (like me) have to cancell my journey as wont be able to travel co late with my 8 year son. Arriving back to York from Salisbury at 2am (approx) is no good for one so young. My boy is totaly gutted as this would have been his 1st away game. i wonder if the fans even come into the conversation with conference and sentanta when they decide on a game fro transmission or do The board just bow downn to them. Sorry for the Rant guys but enough is enough im fed up of been messed about this season, All the best to you all cityfan
