Bath City manager Adie Britton is hoping to use some of the funds that the club acquired due to their FA Cup exploits to 'tweak' his squad.
The Blue Square South club have £80,000 to spend but Britton is convinced he will only need to splash a portion of the money this transfer window.
Britton told This Is Bath: "I don't want to go begging to the board if they haven't got the money to improve the playing budget for next season.
"We could go out and spend all the money now, get a few better players in and get into the play-offs but if we can do that by just tweaking the squad here and there then we'll still have the finances to have an even better season next year.
"The Welsh League and the Conference National are affected by the transfer window and when it opens again on January 1st the knock-on effect, with players becoming available, could be an opportunity for us.
"A few League clubs will also look at people who are out of contract next summer and send players out on loan.
"In an ideal world we'd make a permanent signing or two to really improve us but if we can't do that then we will look at short-term alternatives."
