Bath City v Rushden

Bath City manager Adie Britton is hoping his side can bounce back from their opening day loss to Hayes & Yeading when they host Rushden and Diamonds at Twerton Park.

The Romans were well below-par against United, but Britton believes they will learn from the experience and put in a good showing against the Diamonds on Tuesday evening.

He told thisisbath: "We'll certainly be better for the experience. The test now is to see how we do on Tuesday against Rushden & Diamonds."

Britton will be without the services of Luke Ruddick (hamstring), who faces a lengthy spell, but Scott Murray (ankle) should recover in time.

Rushden and Diamonds left-back Michael Corcoran is confident that his side will improve on their opening day display when they face the Romans.

Justin Edinburgh's charges came from a goal down to snatch a 1-1 draw courtesy of Corcoran's injury-time strike on Saturday.

Corcoran is now determined to add to his tally in the second game of the season.

"Obviously myself - I'm top goal scorer at the club, I'll be there on Sky Sports News on their list," he joked to the club's official website.

"So I'll go there full of confidence to get another goal!

"I'm sure we'll go there with confidence, I think we can do better than we did today," he said after the game at the weekend.

"It was just get the first game out the way and get everyone in and used to their role so I think we'll be ok for Tuesday."

Edinburgh will be without the services of Jamie Day (hamstring), Sam Smith (foot) and Shane Huke (ligament damage).

However, he will be buoyed by the news that midfielder Dominic Green, who joined on loan from Peterbrough this week, will go straight into the squad.
