Adie Britton's Bath City will be hoping for more of the same when they entertain York City at Twerton park on Saturday afternoon.

Britton's men recorded a morale boosting victory over Rushden & Diamonds in midweek, while the Minstermen have only picked up one point from their first two matches.

City will hand a late fitness test to Kaid Mohamed, who missed Tuesday's win over Rushden with a hamstring strain.

Scott Murray (ankle ligaments) and Luke Ruddick (hamstring) are expected to be on the treatment table for at least another month.

Looking ahead to the clash, Britton told This is Bath: "They've signed Jonathan Smith, the lad who knocked us out of the FA Cup with Forest Green Rovers last year, who we thought we had signed in the summer.

"We of course know about George Purcell as well because he scored two fantastic goals for Braintree here last year - let's hope that doesn't happen again.

"We know what a good side York are and it will be a really tough game. If we can just get something out of it, then it would be a great start to the season for us."

York left-back Luke Ruddick (hamstring) and midfielder Scott Murray (ankle) are rated doubtful for Saturday's clash.

Mark Badman will serve the final game of a five-match suspension.

York boss Martin Foyle is expecting a stern test from the Romans, telling the York Press: "They've got a very good home record and they had a good win over Rushden, who should be up there with the favourites, in the week, so we know it will be very hard.

"We're not going to kid ourselves, but hopefully we will do what we did at Grimsby on Tuesday with maybe a bit more joy in the final third.

"It's going to be a very hard league and teams will be beating each other. It'll take five or six games for teams to find their feet, and some will get caught out in that time.

"If fixtures are at the wrong time for you, you will play teams on a high. It's like us going to Bath this weekend. We'd rather play them two or three months down the line after they've had a few knocks and maybe a few defeats.

"However, we're not scared of anybody in this league. I'm more concerned about how we prepare and that we're ready and firing. If we can get ourselves right, I don't fear anybody."
