Grimsby Town extended their unbeaten run to six games after edging Ebbsfleet United 4-3 in the Blue Square Bet Premier at Blundell Park on Saturday.
Liam Hearn opened the scoring for the hosts after less than two minutes before their lead was doubled by Will Antwi, who headed home Michael Coulson's corner on 11 minutes.
The dominance continued for the Mariners as Hearn completed his brace after Luke McCarthy played him in on 13 minutes to make it 3-0.
Fleet pulled one back in the 25th minute when James McKeown failed to clear a back-pass in time, giving Nathaniel Pinney the opportunity to charge it down and bundle the ball into the goal.
The lead was then cut down to a single goal as defender Yado Mambo headed home from a corner four minutes after the visitors' opener.
The hosts regained their two-goal lead in the 49th minute when Coulsen blasted his shot home after superb interplay between Hearn and Anthony Elding.
Ricky Shakes gave Grimsby a scare in stoppage time as he reduced the deficit to one goal with a top strike, but the hosts managed to hold on for the three points.
Grimsby bookings: Townsend, Antwi.
Ebbsfleet bookings: None.

"ye town won but sloppy careless play by town [again] nearly cost them the game and waste fans hard earned money, this is down to bad management, give em a bit of praise [rob scott] instead of shooting ya gob off all the time on the touch line."
