A bit of an old fashioned ground that certainly has some character. On one side is the small old looking Main Stand, that looks as if could have been there since the ground originally opened. It is a small seated stand that has a number of supporting pillars for the roof running across its front and back. Beyond the back of the stand there is a railway line where quite often sees another Inter City train bound for London come hurtling along. The one end of the ground has a simple covered terrace which is split into two separate sections. Whilst opposite is a smaller terrace, that does have some cover towards its middle. The other side of the ground lets the ground down somewhat. Apart from one small open terrace and the team dugouts, it is home to a large ugly radio mast and some sort of covered yard.
There is the Stripes Bar at the ground itself or next door is the Conservative Club which features in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide. Otherwise a short walk up York Road is a Lloyds No.1 Wetherspoons outlet.
If you go up York Road towards the town centre and turn right at the top. You will find the Mr Cod fish & chip shop.
Leave the M4 at Junction 8 and take the A404(M). At the end of the A404(M) take the A4 (Bath Road) towards Maidenhead. On reaching the town centre you will come to a large roundabout. Bear left (the 2nd exit) continuing on the A4. Go straight across the first roundabout and at the second turn right into Forlease Road and then second right into York Road. The entrance to the ground is down on the left. There is no car parking at the ground itself, but there is a pay and display car park across the road from the entrance.
Maidenhead station is situated around 200 yards away from the ground. It is served by trains from London Paddington & Reading.
