Mark McKeever
Play-off chasing Bath City have rejected an offer for Mark McKeever from fellow Blue Square South club Weston-super-Mare.
Seagulls boss Tony Ricketts hoped the signing of the former Bristol Rovers winger would boost his side's battle against the dreaded drop.
But City's assistant manager Adie Britton believes the Irishman - who has recently regained his place in the side - is an integral part of his squad.
McKeever enjoyed a fruitful loan spell at Mangotsfield while recovering from a broken rib and Britton is delighted to have the player back.
The 30-year-old was instrumental in Bath's 4-0 win at Basingstoke on Monday and the Romans have no intentions of letting him leave.
Britton told Weston Daily Express: "Mark played very well and he will be staying with us.
"He had a very good offer from Weston - a two-year offer - but he is under contract with us and it is very hard to replace players with his ability.
"He is out of contract in the summer but we will speak to him then about his future."
