City's Harris poised for Weston move

Bath City midfielder Adie Harris is set to follow former teammate Mark McKeever out the Twerton Park door to Blue Square South rivals Weston-super-Mare.

The 27-year-old who is in his second spell with the Romans turned down an improved offer from the club and looks certain to join their neighbours.

The holding player has contributed some mammoth performances this season and has attracted offers from fellow South clubs Bromley, Havant & Waterlooville, Eastleigh and Weston.

And following the goalless away draw with Eastbourne Borough, boss John Relish told This Is Bath: "We are aware Adie will be moving on to new pastures next season.

"He's turned down an improved offer that we've made him and it's likely he'll join our neighbours, Weston.

"It's disappointing to me, personally, because I brought him to the club and have had a lot to do with Adie over the past few years.

"But I understand he's got a young family to consider and the three offers he's had we couldn't match.

"I think it's Eastleigh, Havant and Weston who have all made him offers, along with Bromley, which is a non-starter.

"It looks like he'll go to the one nearest his Cardiff home."

Meanwhile, hitman Phillip Walsh is considering an offer from money-wielding Toolstation League champions Truro.

"We've made Phil and offer, but the lure of full-time football is pulling quite strong," said Relish.

"Weighted against it is the fact he'll be dropping a couple of standards of football and I don't think he's fully made up his mind.

"To be fair to Phil, he's been up front with us from the start and told us about the offer.

"We certainly can't get near it in monetary terms, but maybe the higher level of football we can offer will sway him."
