John Relish
Bath City duo Phillip Walsh and Adie Harris could remain at the Blue Square South club despite manager John Relish announcing the players' respective exits from the club.
Hitman Walsh was expected to accept a lucrative offer from Toolstation League champions Truro City.
But the deal fell through after the Cornish club announced they would remain a part-time outfit next season following their inability to sustain a permanent professional base.
The striker told This Is Bath: "It's disappointing, but life goes on.
"It was always in the back of my mind that it could happen.
"I was looking forward to it and it was a great offer, but now I just want to get Bath City into the play-offs.
"Maybe we'll go up and I'll get a full-time contract here, but we'll see what happens.
"We hadn't really discussed a contract before because I think John thought I was going to leave, but I think they are going to have a look at what they can do for me now."
Fellow teammate Harris however, is uncertain of which shirt he will be donning next season after receiving several offers from rival South clubs.
He said: "An offer was made to me and I wasn't going to take it - but I never said I wasn't going to sign.
"I love everything about the club - John and Adie (Britton), the players, the supporters and the board.
"That is clear to everyone to see in the way that I play and it has been a big part of my life for three years.
"I understand the club is run professionally now and they're not going to go under for the sake of two or three players - they've got a structure to stick to.
"I fully respect that, but everyone's personal reasons are different.
"I'm not a money-grabber, but my financial position is not as good as other people's and I've got a second child on the way."
"I'm not half-hearted about anything and I won't decide until the summer, by which time hopefully we'll have won the play-offs and be in Conference National for next year.
"A lot can happen in football and I'm just excited about the next few weeks."
