Steve King
The future of Blue Square South champions Lewes FC remains shrouded in mystery with speculation mounting over outbound manager Steve King.
The Rooks denied recent reports that King was to be sacked following Saturday's game but did not confirm whether or not he would be at the Dripping Pan next season.
Rumours have been rife that a consortium is poised to make a takeover bid in the coming weeks and Brighton & Hove Albion commercial director Kevin Keehan has been tipped to be leading the group.
King spoke to local paper Express Sport before Saturday's curtain caller and said, "I can confirm that I haven't been fired and that I will be at the game as Lewes FC manager against Weston-super-Mare tomorrow."
Despite this assurance, King remained tight-lipped on his future at the club and it is widely believed that Saturday's match was his last in charge.
