Ashley Nicholls
Blue Square South side Maidenhead United have announced the signing of midfielder Ashley Nicholls following the departure of striker Manny Williams.
Maidenhead boss Johnson Hippolyte has been admirer of Nicholls' talents and wasted no time in offering the Ipswich-born player a contract.
The 26-year-old arrives at York Road from Blue Square North club Boston United and can count Ipswich Town, Darlington, Rushden & Diamonds, Canvey Island, Grays Athletic and Cambridge United amongst his former teams.
"He's (Nicholls) a player that I'm been aware of for a while," Hippolyte told the Maidenhead Advertiser.
"He's an experienced lad but he's still only 26 so he's got a lot more football to play.
"He scores a lot of goals and with Manny Williams leaving we'll be looking to spread our goals throughout the team a lot more next season."
Meanwhile, striker Manny Williams has left the club and is expected to sign for Blue Square Premier club Woking in the coming week.
The blow of his departure will be softened by former Hawks striker Richard Pacquette, who has committed to another season with the Magpies.
