Jimmy Quinn
Cambridge United midfielder Stephen Smith looks set to sign for neighbours Cambridge City after being released by the play-off finalists.
The 21-year-old recently returned from a loan spell at the Blue Square South side and has been told that his services are no longer required by manager Jimmy Quinn.
"The gaffer and I thank Stephen for his service to the club," assistant manager Willy Wordsworth told the club's official website.
"He's been a model pro for us and we wish him the very best of luck in the future."
Smith has been with the club since the age of nine and has made 62 league appearances for the U's, scoring four goals in the process.
