Keehan completes first Lewes signings

Newly appointed Lewes manager Kevin Keehan has made his first signings since taking over the reins at the Blue Square South champions.

Bognor Regis Town duo Chris Breach and Seb Wallis-Tayler have joined the Rooks along with Havant & Waterlooville striker Chamal Fenelon.

"Chris is a good quality central defender who wants to get it down and pass it, which is what I want to do," Keehan told BBC Southern Counties Radio.

Heading for the exit door are striker Paul Booth and midfielder Gary Holloway, who have both signed for Blue Square South side Havant & Waterlooville.

Meanwhile, the newly promoted Blue Square Premier club have released a statement regarding potential investors.

The statement reads as follows:

"The club have for sometime been looking for more people to get involved with the club in preparation of the next phase in the development of Lewes FC.

"The club has been approached by a number of interested parties willing to help out in some way.

"It is also confirmed the Aston Villa star Gareth Barry, who used to play for Brighton & Hove Albion will be one of those potential sponsors.

"Kevin Keehan, formerly Commercial Manager at Brighton & Hove Albion, has been confirmed in the roles of Team Manager, Commercial Manger, and General Club Manager.

"He will announce others who will help him in due course."

"Martin Elliott, Managing Director of Lewes FC, denied any "take over" or "buy out" of the club, and emphasised Kevin Keehan will be an employee of the club, and that the current Board will still be involved.

"Lewes FC would like to thank Steven King for all his hard work over the last 5 years and wish him all the best in the future."
