Chelmsford City have announced the signing of four of their promising reserve players on Blue Square South forms.
Ricky Modeste, Nicholas Muir, Brad Hunter and Josh Brown all appeared in the 7-1 victory against the Essex Senior League side on Monday 3rd November.
And City's management team of Jeff King and Glenn Pennyfather wasted no time in rewarding them with registration forms under the guidance of Reserve Team Manager Bob Batchford and Club Secretary David Selby.
Meanwhile, the Clarets were left disappointed on Tuesday night as the proposed Setanta Shield Third Round clash with Grays Athletic at The New Recreation Ground was incredibly postponed at the last-minute due to floodlight failure at the Blue Square Premier side's home.
Supporters and players alike had arrived in readiness for the last thirty-two clash, with Crawley Town awaiting the winners in the next round, but a fault with the electrics at Grays meant no floodlighting could be provided and a new date of Tuesday 25th November 2008, kick-off 7:45pm, has been agreed for the tie.
This is subject to Chelmsford not having an F.A. Trophy replay with Hayes & Yeading United the previous evening after the their pairing in the Carlsberg-sponsored competition.
If a replay with Hayes is necessary that game will take precedence and the Grays match will be rescheduled again.
Any potential Crawley Town away match would then be played in the week commencing December 1st.
