Charlie Sheringham
Blue Square South outfit Bishop's Stortford have been dealt a blow with news that striker Charlie Sheringham faces at least a fortnight on the treatment table.
21-year-old Sheringham is the son of ormer England international Teddy and was due to link up with League One side Gillingham for a week-long trial.
However, the striker suffered a hamstring injury on Saturday and it is not clear when he will again have the chance to impress Gills boss Mark Stimson.
Stortford boss Mark Simpson told the Herts and Essex Observer: "Charlie injured his hamstring on Saturday.
"They will want to see Charlie train with a first team and not the reserves."
"The trial has to suit both parties. It has to be in a week where we do not have a midweek game and Gillingham do not have one."
