Haines sent on loan to Bishops

Young Chelmsford City central defender Mark Haines has made a one-month loan move to Blue Square Bet North neighbours Bishop's Stortford in a bid for match practice.

Haines has found opportunities to break into Manager Glenn Pennyfather's Clarets First Team limited this season due to the excellent form of the current back four and his boss believes a temporary transfer will benefit all concerned.

"Hainesy wants to play football so we've agreed for him to try and get that elsewhere for a few weeks," Glenn said.

"Mark will get the minutes under his belt that he needs, we keep one of our players active and Bishop's Stortford get the services of an excellent young talent."
