Aldershot Town v Grays Athletic (19.45, Live on Setanta 1)

Prices correct at time of writing (11am, Wednesday November 21, 2007).

Home 4/6 Draw 12/5 Away 7/2

This match should really be all about Aldershot, they've been in great form and the interesting thing is they've kept clean sheets in three of their last four outings but Grays have also been in quite good form, with back-to-back away wins at Salisbury and Woking. However, Grays are losing players left, right and centre and the latest man to go is forward Dennis Oli, who has gone to Gillingham and I don't think the squad that Justin Edinburgh has got is now one of the strongest in the league. I think this will be a tight, defensive match and one goal may decide it. Aldershot have to be favourites but my betting strategy here would be 1-0 Aldershot, which is 11/2, and save on the 0-0 draw, which is great value at 8/1.

I remember the first game of the season when Grays played at Torquay, I was down at Plainmoor for that one and they got a scoreless draw there and I could easily see this being another tight, tepid encounter with few goals. Aldershot and their supporters know they've got a great chance in front of the TV cameras to put a bit of daylight between themselves and the rest at the top of the table but this Blue Square Premier season has thrown up so many twists and turns so far that it wouldn't surprise me if they were to slip up. I don't see Grays winning the match but I'll take an Aldershot win and save on the 0-0 draw.

Verdict: Home win

Best Bet: Aldershot v Grays 0-0 draw 8/1
