Oxford visit the Raymond McEnhill Stadium
Salisbury v Oxford United (Kick-off 15.00)
Prices correct at time of writing ( 12pm, Wednesday January 9, 2008).
Home 11/8 Draw 11/5 Away 13/8
This is a tricky one to call for me. Had Oxford beaten Weymouth during the week then they would have been heading into this one full of confidence and looking towards the play-offs.
I have to admit I really wasn't expecting Weymouth to get the win at the Kassam Stadium, so that was a surprise, although credit to Weymouth it was a big win for them in their fight for survival.
Certainly if there was going to be a winner here you'd probably fancy Oxford, but I think Salisbury are a decent side at home. The statistics back that up as they've won half of their 12 home games, so there must be a fair chance of them taking something from this clash.
I really can't see Oxford being as bad as they apparently were against Weymouth on Tuesday, so the draw at 11/5 has to be the call.
It was tempting to go for an Oxford win but in present circumstances I'd want bigger than the 13/8 on offer to sway me.
Oxford though are a decent side as they've won four times on the road, but it's a point apiece for me at 11/5.
Verdict:
Draw 11/5
Best Bet:
Draw 11/5
