Exeter City take on Stevenage Borough at St James Park on Saturday
Saturday February 2, 2008
Prices correct at time of writing (4.30pm, Thursday January 31, 2008).
Salisbury v Forest Green
Home 6/5 Draw 9/4 Away 15/8
Forest Green have been really boosted by the news that striker Stuart Fleetwood is staying at the club. Rovers got a creditable 1-1 draw at home to Exeter last weekend and I would expect them to kick on. Salisbury are good at home but I don't see Forest Green losing this one. There's two ways to bet here. Forest Green Draw No Bet or just take the draw. Salisbury did us a favour last week when they beat Stafford Rangers 5-1 at even money so it could be worth taking on Forest Green in this match.
Verdict: Draw
Kidderminster v Northwich
Home 1/2 Draw 13/5 Away 5/1
Once again I think home advantage is crucial here. Kidderminster lost 1-0 to Droylsden last weekend, which was a big surprise after the shock of losing 2-1 at Altrincham in early January. I would think that Kidderminster will be too strong for Northwich. The Vics haven't done too badly in the last few weeks but have had a desperately disappointing season. Once again it's Kidderminster for me and I'm going to take them to get maximum points.
Verdict: Home win
Exeter City v Stevenage Borough
Home 11/8 Draw 11/5 Away 13/8
Exeter had a great 1-0 win at Cambridge in midweek and are now sixth in the table as the Grecians eye a play-off spot. Stevenage drew 0-0 at Farsley Celtic last time out and their record away from home reads eight wins and two draws from 13 matches. Exeter have won six and drawn six of their 13 games at home. Torquay beat Histon 1-0 on Monday to go second in the table above Stevenage, so Boro will be aiming for three points but City will be in confident mood after beating Cambridge. I'm going to go for a draw at 11/5.
Verdict: Draw
