Forest Green Rovers take on Burton Albion at the New Lawn on Monday

Burton to take the points

Monday March 31, 2008

Forest Green Rovers v Burton Albion (19.45, Live on Setanta 1)

Prices correct at time of writing (1.30pm, Wednesday March 26, 2008)

Home 8/5 Draw 11/5 Away 7/5

I think Forest Green definitely need to win this game if they're to boost their outside hopes of reaching the play-offs. Burton have managed to get into third place possibly by virtue of the poor form of Cambridge and Exeter and the draws that Stevenage have gained in recent weeks but the Brewers have plugged away.

Burton hadn't lost at all away from home up until early in the New Year and have only lost three times on the road since then and that's still the best record in the division by far.

It's a battle of a decent away defence - Burton have conceded only 17 goals on the road - against a Forest Green attack that has scored 40 goals at home this season and includes Stuart Fleetwood, who is back in form. Fleetwood is 5/1 to score first and that could be a decent bet. Burton are the slight favourites and I'm going for an away win.

Verdict: Away win

Best Bet: Forest Green's Stuart Fleetwood to score first at 5/1
