Tuesday's Blue Square wrap

Three matches took place in the Blue Square North and South on Tuesday night with Barrow's thrashing of Burscough the stand out result.

Blue Square North

Barrow 4-0 Burscough

Barrow taught Burscough a footballing lesson on Tuesday as they thrashed the visiting side at Holker Street.

Four goals in the first-half killed off the early threat of the visitors and put to bed any Burscough hopes of snatching a result.

A 13th minute goal from Brown followed by strikes from Nick Rogan and Jason Walker (2) earned a well deserved three-points for the home side.

Blue Square South

Bath City 2-2 Hayes & Yeading

Bath staged a fantastic comeback to rescue a point against Hayes & Yeading at Twerton Park on Tuesday.

The visitors went 2-0 up with a goal in each half. Joshua Scott opened the scoring in the 36th minute before Toby Little doubled their advantage in the 66th minute.

The home side, however, will have Lewis Hogg to thank for his cool head in the dying minutes. Hogg slotted home two penalties in the 78th and 81st minutes to rescue a deserved point.

Eastbourne Borough 0-0 Newport County

It was honours even at the Langney Sports Club as Eastbourne Borough and Newport County played out a goalless draw.

Both side's had chances to win the match in what was a dire affair, but neither side had the necessary quality in the final-third to produce a winning goal.
