Basingstoke 3-4 Eastleigh
Basingstoke and Eastleigh provided a seven goal fest at the Camrose ground with the home side narrowly missing out after staging a phenomenal fight-back.
The Spitfires took the lead through Paul Sales after a meagre 7 minutes.
Andrew Forbes began a superb and important double in the 32nd minute, doubling the visitors tally and added his second after David Tappey pulled one back for the Dragons.
Tappey revived an otherwise lackluster side after 41 minutes making it 2-1 to the visitors, but Forbes second that followed 10 minutes later restored the Spitfires lead to two goals.
Basingstoke began to fight back on their home turf and Robert Watkins made it 3-2 after 76 minutes, but Mark Marshall added Eastleigh's fourth in the 88th minute.
Rather than throwing in the towel, James Taylor scored a minute later making it 4-3. However time was not on the Dragons side and the boys from Silverlake Stadium walked away with all three points.
Newport County 5-0 Weston-S-Mare
Charlie Griffin scored a brace as Newport County ran rampant at the Newport Stadium completing a 5-0 rout of Weston-S-Mare.
Ian Hiller gifted the Exiles an early lead, finding the back of the net in only the second minute of the game.
Griffin doubled the home side's tally, netting his first in the 28th minute.
He added his second after 53 minutes following Jason Bowen's strike 9 minutes after the restart making it 4-0 to County.
The visitors defence was in shambles and Nathan Davies punished them further in the 87th minute making it a five-star hammering for the Seagulls.
Bath City 1-0 Dorchester
Chris Holland's solitary strike against a struggling Dorchester side reiterated Bath City's play-off credentials at Twerton Park.
Holland struck in the 14 minute and the Romans held onto the narrow lead as relegation touted Magpies failed to utilise their opportunities.
The win places City in good stead after second-placed Eastbourne Borough and third-placed Hampton and Richmond both stumbled in their play-off push.
Braintree Town 2 - 1 Bishops Sford
Braintree Town obtained a much-needed three points at home against high-flying Bishops Sford after coming back from a goal down.
Greg Pearson opened the scoring for the visitors in the 34th minute and the goal stood as the difference between the sides for the majority of the game.
Craig Sullivan equalised in the 75th minute and Bishops would have gladly settled for an away point.
Bill Burgess had ideas though and slammed home the winner in the 84th minute.
Cambridge City 4-0 St Albans
Cambridge City were awarded two penalties as they demolished a lowly St Albans team 4-0 at the City Ground.
The home side were in fine fettle after Lee Chaffey opened the scoring in the 17th minute.
The Saints' defence were caught napping on the 39th minute mark when Michael Gash began his hat-trick account on the 39th minute mark.
After the interval referee C Miller pointed to the penalty spot twice in the 50th and 63rd minute and visiting stopper John Stevenson was compressively beaten by Gash on both occasions.
Demoralised by the splendid hat-trick and spot-kick decisions, the Saints never looked likely to pose a threat late on. The loss will leave them rooted in a heated relegation battle, while Cambridge move closer to mid-table security.
Eastbourne Borough 0-2 Lewes
The top-of-the-table clash between league leaders Lewes and second-placed Borough proved that the Rooks position at the summit is well deserved.
The home side were outplayed at their fortress Priory Lane by a Lewes team that has deservedly dominated the Blue Square South this season.
Paul Booth opened the scoring for the visitors in the 14th minute much to the dismay of the home fans.
The Sports' hopes of narrowing the gap at the top were stifled by an Andy Drury effort in the 64th minute.
The hosts are now 9 points adrift of Lewes and will need to battle hard to hold onto their play-off place.
Fisher 3-2 Welling United
Three goals in the space of 10 minutes by Wesley Thomas ensured Fisher would walk away with all on the spoils against Welling on home soil.
Thomas awarded the hosts the lead in the 65th minute, but it was quickly cancelled out by Ellis Green two minutes later.
United's defence was breached by Thomas in the 69th minute and the striker completed his well-taken rout in the 75th minute.
Omari Coleman pulled one back for the visitors in the 83rd minute, but Thomas' hat-trick had sealed the points for the Fish.
Havant and Welling 2-0 Bognor Regis Town
Havant and Welling cruised to a comfortable 2-0 home victory against Bognor Regis Town who are now placed perilously close to the drop-zone.
Alfie Potter found the back of the net in the 23rd minute, which was the highlight of the first half.
Referee G Smith awarded the hosts a penalty on the 61st minute mark and Rocky Baptiste made no mistake from the spot.
Hayes & Yeading 1-4 Maidenhead Utd
Maidenhead Utd completed a comprehensive 4-1 away thrashing of Hayes & Yeading at York Road.
Alan Smith opened the floodgates in the 9th minute, with all four of the visitors goals being converted in the first-half.
Manny Williams doubled the lead in the 36th minute, taking full advantage of the home-side's perilous defence.
John Hastings and Dwane Lee added two goals within a minute of each other, on the 45th and 46th mark respectively.
Simon Martin added a consolation goal for the toothless United in the 90th minute.
Sutton Utd 2-1 Hampton & Richmond
Relegation strugglers Sutton Utd handed high-flying Hampton & Richmond a shock 2-1 victory at the Borough Sports Ground.
Referee Tony Power pointed the the penalty spot in the 31st minute and Craig Dundas cooly netted giving the U's the lead.
Stuart Lake cancelled out the spot-kick in the 33rd minute for the visitors, but Dundas added his second of the game to finish the game off in the 46th minute.
Hampton & Richmond will need to string together a series of wins to revive their play-off hopes, as Bath City climb above them to third spot.
Thurrock 2-1 Bromley
Struggling Thurrock pleased their home fans with a victory over 7th placed Bromley.
David Bryant opened the Fleet's account in the 4th minute, but the visitors cancelled out the strike through Williams in the 17th minute.
Referee G Muge awarded the hosts a penalty on the 49th minute mark, infuriating Bromley.
Greg Lincoln beat stopper Rob Swain from the spot to restore the Fleet's lead and effectively secure the three points.
