Blue Square South

Chelmsford 3 Fisher Athletic 0

Chelmsford maintained their superb early season form with a convincing victory over Blue Square South rivals Fisher Athletic.

David Rainford emerged as the home side's goal hero after notching up a goal as early as the sixth minute following some fine build-up play.

Fisher clawed their way back into the game and looked like equalising until Rainford doubled the lead with a 69th minute penalty.

Kevin James sealed the win with a late strike that took Chelmsford to the top of the league table on goal difference.

Havant & Waterloovile 2 Weston S Mare 3

Havant launched a great comeback after being 3-0 down with 20 minutes to go but in the end they could not overcome Weston Super Mare.

The visitors took the lead through Ryan Havard in the tenth minute and then launched a two goal blitz in as many minutes around the the hour mark to seal the result despite a nervous finish.

Marvin Brown slotted home on 59 minutes before Andy Gurney stamped the visitors authority on the game with another two minutes later.

But Havant showed that they had plenty of fight with goals from Charlie Henry and Gary Holloway in the 70th and 85th minute respectively ensuring that the supporters in the crowd were treated to a nailbiting finish.

The result sees Weston claim second spot on the Blue Square South table.

Worcester City 2 St Albans 0

Worcester strolled to a comfortable home win against a lacklustre St Albans side.

Marco Addagio put the home side ahead in the 21st minute after a period of attacking dominance.

Matthey Dinsmore completed the victory in the 64th to maintain City's 100% record and entrench them in third spot on the table.

Blue Square North

Hyde 0 Burscough 1

Michael Grogan's first half strike proved to be the difference as Burscough claimed a precious early season away-win.

In a game that offered very little by way of goalmouth action Grogan's well struck 21st minute effort proved enough to secure all three points and see Burscough move to the top of the league table for the time being following their opening day draw against King's Lynn.
