Dons boss Terry Brown
AFC Wimbledon maintained their position at the top of the pile with a comfortable win against Maidenhead while Hayes & Yeading picked up three points on the road.
Terry Brown's Dons produced an assured performance against the Magpies at Kingsmeadow to maintain their two-point lead at the summit of the Blue Square south table.
The hosts started brightly and awarded a penalty after 25 minutes, which was coolly slotted home by the club's leading scorer, Jon Main.
AFC Wimbledon held on to their slender lead heading into the break and they saw it doubled in the 68th minute thanks to midfielder Tom Davis.
The home side continued to attack and they were awarded a second penalty in the 73rd minute. Main took the spot kick again and showed good composure to beat the 'keeper.
Maidenhead did manage to pull one back in the 88th minute through Richard Pacquette but it was a matter of too little, too late.
Newport County rallied back from a first-half deficit to earn a share of the spoils with Bishop's Stortford at Woodside Park.
The Bishops broke the deadlock after 40 minutes courtesy of a Roy Essandoh finish and held their lead after 45 minutes.
However, the Exiles showed some grit and determination to fight their way back into the game and were awarded a penalty in the 57th minute.
Welshman Rob Duffy stepped up to take the spot kick and made no mistake to put his team back on even pegging.
Bromley bounced back from a disappointing defeat in the Setanta Shield to record a convincing victory over Weston-super-Mare at the Courage Stadium.
The first half ended goalless with neither of the two sides able to create very many chances in front of goal.
The second half was a different kettle of fish however, as the Ravens scored their first just two minutes after the restart.

However, the visitors were not done yet and they reclaimed the lead in the 68th minute courtesy of striker Craig Watkins.
The Clarets have lost ground on leaders AFC Wimbledon after this latest result and find themselves in fifth place with 18 points.
Martin Hayes' Hayes & Yeading claimed second place on the Blue Square South table with a fairly comfortable win against Dorchester Town at the Avenue Stadium.
United looked more likely to create something in the opening exchanges and they claimed the lead in the 19th minute when midfielder Will Hendry found the back of the net.
They continued to press their advantage and doubled their tally just five minutes later thanks to defender Tom Cadmore.
The Magpies looked a bit better in the second period and pulled one back through striker Jamie Mudge in the 75th minute.
However, they were unable to break down a resilient Hayes & Yeading defence, which held firm until the final whistle.
Ian Baird's Eastleigh continued their superb run of form with a massive win against Welling United at Silverlake Stadium.
The Spitfires made a flying start to the match, claiming the lead after 11 minutes thanks to on-loan winger Matt Bodkin.
The visitors were quick to respond and striker Joe Healy put them back on even terms just five minutes later.
Former Lewes striker Matt Groves restored Eastleigh's advantage in the 32nd minute before pint-sized winger Bodkin got himself on the scoresheet again, five minutes before the break to make it 3-1.
Groves popped up again in the 52 minute to put the hosts in a commanding position.
Promising young left-back Craig Braham-Barrett scored a second for Welling in the 80th minute but it turned out to be nothing more than a consolation goal.
Fisher Athletic claimed all three points against Basingstoke Town at Champion Hill Stadium on Saturday thanks to an opening-minute goal.
The Fish made the best possible start when Ivorian midfielder Sosthene Yao fired them ahead virtually from the kick-off.
However, the game didn't produce any more goals as Fisher failed to make their home advantage count.
John Relish's Bath City slipped further down the table after slumping to a heavy defeat at then hands of Hampton & Richmond Borough at Beveree Stadium.
Defender Craig Tanner put the hosts ahead after 23 minutes and they soon doubled their advantage thanks to a Lawrence Yaku's 29th minute effort.
The Beavers maintained their two-goal lead heading into the half-time break but their lead was cut down in the 52nd minute courtesy of Welsh defender Paul Cochlin.
The hosts took the setback in their stride and saw their two-goal advantage restored in the 86th minute when defender Chris Holland put the ball in his own net.
Thurrock picked up their first win of the season with an assured performance against St Albans City at Clarence Park.
The first half produced little in the way of goalmouth action and ended in stalemate.
However, a determined Thurrock were out to prove a point and claimed the lead in the 68th minute thanks to striker Che Stadhart.
The Fleet suffered some nerve-racking few minutes before skipper Lee Flynn put the game to bed with an 88th minute effort.
Team Bath maintained their excellent run of form with a narrow victory over strugglers Bognor Regis Town at Twerton Park on Saturday.
The first 45 minutes offered little in the way of goalmouth action and ended in a frustrating stalemate.
The second period didn't really offer much more but the home fans were given something to cheer about after 66 minutes when midfielder Steve Abbott fired into the back of the net.
Worcester City mounted a memorable comeback to earn a share of the spoils with Braintree Town at St George's Lane.
The Iron stared brightly and claimed the lead after 17 minutes through forward Sean Marks. It took them just ten minutes to double their advantage, with midfielder Adrian Deane firing in a 27th minute effort.
Braintree maintained their lead heading into the half-time break and looked good value for their lead.
However, they were caught on the back foot after the break as Worcester came out firing on all cylinders.
Matt Dinsmore slotted home a 48th minute penalty to make it 2-1 before defender Ollie Barnes popped up in the 81st minute to spare the hosts the blushes.
