Jeff King's Chelmsford City claimed pole position in the Blue Square South on Saturday while Maidenhead and Basingstoke picked up wins on the road.
AFC Wimbledon claimed third place in the Blue Square South after smashing four goals past Bishop's Stortford at Kingsmeadow.
The Bishops drew first blood when Piers Wixon's 3rd minute finish handed them lead but the hosts stuck to their gameplan and drew level through Sam Hatton's 24th minute effort.
The second period belonged to the Wombles, who produced an improved performance to grab the game by the scruff of the neck.

The Magpies claimed the lead after 21 minutes thanks to Iranian defender Bobby Behzadi but the hosts rallied and drew level six minutes later through defender Rob Swain.
The scores remained unchanged heading into the break but the visitors had the edge over their opponents in the second period.
Forward Lee Newman popped up in the 73rd minute to give his side the lead and help them claim all three points.
Andy Ford's Welling United moved closer towards the play-off places with a comfortable win against Weston-Super-Mare at Park View Road.
The Wings made a flying start to the match as they opened the scoring virtually from the kick-off.
On-loan Stevenage striker Jerome Anderson made the perfect start on his debut, finding the back of the net after just three minutes.
Welling continued to press their early advantage and doubled their tally in the 31st minute thanks to midfielder Lee Blackburn.
The scores remained unchanged for the remainder of the match as the host claimed a well-deserved three points.
