Chelmsford City maintained pole position in the Blue Square South standings on Saturday after edging out AFC Wimbledon in a five-goal thriller.
Basingstoke toiled to earn a precious point against Newport County in a goalless affair at the Camrose Ground.
Neither side were able to break the deadlock in a gritty encounter that saw the visitors drop down the standings to 18th spot.
The Dragons will savour the point as they look to push out of the bottom three.
Dorchester secured a valuable three points to move out of the relegation zone against Bishop's Stortford in a 2-0 win at Woodside Park.

The Dons tried to secure a draw, but City bagged all the spoils and strengthened their position at the top.
Eastleigh edged closer to a play-off spot as they overcame high-flying Hampton & Richmond 2-1 at the Silverlake Stadium.
Ben Wright granted the Beavers an early lead in the fifth minute to see the visitors in front at half-time.
After the break though Tom Jordan leveled the scores on the 64-minute mark.
Tony Taggart then sent the home fans into raptures as he stole the three points in the 81st minute.
Just one-point separates the Spitfires, who are in ninth spot and the visitors, who lie in seventh place.

The first-half provided little action, but Hawks forward Danny Webb netted in the 80th minute to open the game up.
Five minutes later, Will Hendry leveled the scores but Hayes & Yeading's Scott Fitzgerald then netted on the 90-minute mark to steal all three points for the hosts.
Johnson Hippolyte's Maidenhead United moved up to second place in the Blue Square South standings with a comfortable victory over newcomers Team Bath at Twerton Park.
The first half ended goalless with neither of the two sides able to grab the game by the scruff of the neck.
The win takes maidenhead to 2nd on the table whilst the Scholars drop to 4th.
Bath City emerged victorious on the road, beating Weston-Super-Mare at Woodsping Stadium in a hard fought game.
The first half finished all square, neither side managing to break down the opposing defence. Then in the 49th minute David Gilroy scored and the Romans hung on till the final whistle.
The win means Bath City remain in the 11th spot on the table whilst the Seagulls drop to 13th position.
Worcester hosted Welling at St. George's Lane and it was the visiting side that ran out victorious in a closely contested game.
The Wings went up in the 32nd minute as James Baker slotted home. Despite their efforts, the home side failed to equalise.
The victory sees Welling remain at 8th on the Table while the Royals drop to the 10th spot.
