Chelmsford City moved clear at the top of the Blue Square South table when they overcame second-placed Maidenhead United on Saturday.
Jeff King's Chelmsford side picked up three valuable away points when they beat Blue Square South title rivals Maidenhead United at York Road in the top-of-the-table clash.
The game was an evenly contested affair in the first half, with both sides failing to convert their chances.
Jeff Minton finally broke the deadlock for the visitors in the 68th minute with a superbly taken goal and the points were sown up for The Clarets when Chris Moore blasted home a minute from time.
The Magpies will be ruing their missed opportunities and the missed chance of going top of the Blue Square South.
A Warren Mcbean brace secured the points for Bromley in their Blue Square South game against Bath City at Twerton Park.
Mcbean opened the scoring as early as the second minute and when Luke L'Anson netted ten minutes from half-time, the writing was on the wall for the Romans.
Mcbean wrapped up the points for the visitors when he netted in the 67th minute and although City managed to grab a late goal through Dave Gilroy a minute from time, it proved nothing more than a consolation for the home team.
The win is much needed for The Ravens as they had only won one of their last six matches and they now move up to 14th place in the table.
Braintree Town hitman Danny Hockman grabbed a late equaliser to force a stalemate against Blue Square South opponents Weston-Super-Mare at Cressing Road Stadium.
Ryan Harvard opened the scoring in the 19th minute with a well-taken goal and seemed to have given his team the three points until Hockman equalised nine minutes from time.
The Seagulls will be disappointed at dropping a point as they self-destructed against Bath in their previous fixture and gifted the Romans the three points.
The result means that The Seagulls remain in 14th place in the table with 18 points with The Irons just one place above them on the same number of points with a superior goal difference.
A late goal from midfielder Rob Davies gave Worcester all three points at Beveree Stadium in the Blue Square South.
The Beavers opened the scoring after just ten minutes with a wonderful goal from striker Ben Wright and his team had most of the play in the first half, but were unlucky to concede on the half hour mark when Matt Dinsmore equalised.
But Davies' goal ten minutes from time gave Richard Dryden's Loyals the win and moved them up to ninth in the table.
However, the loss comes as a major setback for Alan Devonshire's side and their hopes of moving into the promotion places.
All is not lost though as they only trail fifth-placed Team Bath by four points.
Hayes and Yeading gave Newport County a 5-1 hiding at Newport Stadium in the Blue Square South on Saturday.
United opened the scoring in the eighth minute when midfielder Steve Perkins found the back of the net.
It was not plain sailing for Hayes and Yeading though as Craig Reid equalised for The Exiles in the 26th minute and an evenly matched half ended at 1-1.
However, it was the visitors who came out the stronger of the two sides in the second half and James Mulley put United back into the lead in the 50th minute.
Striker Scott Fitzgerald then got in on the act with two goals in two minutes, to seal The Ironsides' fate.
Josh Scott compounded County's miseries when he scored the fifth in the 70th minute.
The result means that Newport are now just one place above the relegation zone, while Hayes and Yeading move up to third in the table.
St Albans are just one place off the play-off places after they scored four second half goals at home on Saturday.
The game came alive in the second half at Clarence Park after a dull first period saw the sides go in at the break without any goals.
Things soon changed though when Athletic midfielder Alex Bentley put the ball into his own net ten minutes after the break.
Two goals in five minutes then by Saints striker Paul Hakim closed the deal for St Albans and although Sam Higgins scored in 62nd minute, it proved nothing but a consolation.
James Quilter then wrapped up a good evening for The Friars when he scored in stoppage time.
Athletic's loss means they remain in the relegation zone.
Thurrock picked up their biggest win of the season when they thrashed second-from-bottom Basingstoke 6-0 in the Blue Square South on Saturday.
Left-back Mark Wright opened the scoring for The Fleet in the 37th minute and Thurrock's lead was doubled just five minutes later when Gary Howard found the back of the net.
Fleet boss Hakan Ramis Hayrettin's side refused to take their foot off the gas in the second half as they added four more goals.
First a brace by midfielder Fola Orilonishe and not to be out done was Fleet hitman David Bryant, who added two of his own in dying minutes.
The win means that Thurrock move up to fifteenth in the table.
A first half brace by James Baker moved Welling up to seventh place in the Blue Square South after they won 3-2 against Eastleigh at Park View Road.
Baker scored in the twelfth minute to give his team the lead and then doubled their advantage ten minutes before half-time.
Although Andy Forbes pulled one back for The Spitfires just after the hour mark, their fate was sealed when Jerome Andersson scored a third for The Wings four minutes from time.
Steve Clark pulled a goal back in injury time, but it proved to be too little to late for Eastleigh, who drop back to tenth in the table.
