Chelmsford City continued to dominate the Blue Square South after the first game of 2009, come this way to read what else happened on New Years Day.
AFC Wimbledon strengthened their hopes of promotion with an emphatic 3-0 victory over Fisher Athletic.
Jon Main opened the scoring for the home side when he sent ripples through the net in the 28th minute.
Sam Hatton made it 2-0 on 63 minutes before Danny Kedwell made sure the three points would stay with the Dons when he found the net on 79 minutes.

However, Kenny Beaney silenced the home supporters when he equalised in the 89th minute.
But the loudest roar of the day could be heard when skipper Andy Duncan popped up to grab the winning goal for Chelmsford with just a matter of second left on the clock.
Bath City's hopes of reaching the play-offs were handed a major boost when they beat Dorchester 2-0.
Chris Holland put the visitors into the lead on 58 minutes, much to the disappointment of the home fans as it looked like Dorchester were the more likely side to score the opening goal.
The Magpies' supporters were handed more disappointment in the 88th minute when Darren Edwards made it 2-0 from the penalty spot.
Despite losing out in the end, Dorchester will feel encouraged by the performance which they put in and will hope to build on their showing in future matches.
Eastleigh managed to claim a narrow 1-0 victory over Basingstoke at the Silverlake Stadium on Thursday afternoon.
Both sides took to the field eager to get the new year off to a flying start.
And it was the home team that made the most of their enthusiasm when they opened the scoring on 44 minutes.
Striker Andy Forbes was the man who grabbed what proved to be the winning goal with a superb finish after some impressive team play.
The Spitfires remain in third place on the league table, while the Dragons stay in trouble in the relegation zone.
Hampton & Richmond failed to make home ground advantage count as their match with St Albans ended goalless.
Neither side was able to take control of the match, with genuine goalscoring opportunities at a premium.
