A brace from Chelmsford's new signing Sam Sloma was enough to give the Clarets a 2-1 win over Dorchester at Melbourne Stadium on Saturday.
The game was an evenly contested affair and their was nothing to separate the teams until the hour mark when Nick Hutchings opened the scoring to give his side the lead after some poor defending by Chelmsford.
But the Clarets are not second in the table for nothing and they fought their way back into the game when Sloma equalised.
The match seemed to be playing out to a 1-1 draw, but Sloma piled on the misery for the away fans when he scored his second with just five minutes to play to give his side the three points.
