Saturday's Blue Square South Wrap

Run-away Blue Square South league leaders AFC Wimbledon dropped points again - this time at home to Welling, as relegation candidates Thurrock and Fisher Athletic both earned valuable draws.

Sanchez Ming scored the only goal for The Wings against The Dons to edge closer to the play-off places while Hampton and Richmond closed the gap between first and second to just six points.

Hampton comprehensively beat Chelmsford 4-1 at Beveree Stadium although the scoreline was not a true reflection of the game with Lawerence Yaku scoring two late goals.

John Scarborough opened the scoring after just 16 minutes with Clarets striker Chris Moore clawing a goal back with 25 minutes of the match remaining. Ian Hodges restored Hampton's lead just three minutes later before Yaku weighed in on 81 and 85 minutes to kill off the tie.

Hampton have four points on Eastleigh, who jumped from fifth to third after beating Worcester - The Spitfires needing an 87th minute Tony Taggart penalty to secure the three points

Thurrock will have mixed emotions about settling for a draw against Havant & Waterlooville after opening the scoring through Kieron St Aimie as early as the 11th minute. Hawks defender Jay Gasson pulled one back just 10 minutes later however, with Luke Nightingale making no mistake from the penalty spot as the home side regained control of the tie. The Fleet had not given up and got the goal their play deserved when David Knight scored with three minutes to play.

It was a similar scenario for bottom side Fisher Athletic, although they took the lead twice in their match against Basingstoke, only to be pegged back both times.

Wayne Grant found the target on the half hour but almost immediately Ryan Stephens grabbed an equaliser. And when Chris Saunders had given his side the lead once again, approaching the hour mark, it took Matthew Warner just two minutes to level matters.

The Fish stay four points behind Bognor Regis Town, with The Rocks also losing - away to Bishop's Stortford.

Elsewhere, Maidenhead Utd gave lowly Dorchester a 3-0 hammering away from home.

All the results:

AFC Wimbledon 0-1 Welling

Bishop's Stortford 2-0 Bognor Regis Town

Hampton & Richmond 4-1 Chelmsford

Havant and W 2-2 Thurrock
