A quartet of teams secured all available points as the Blue Square South season saw its second round of fixtures.
Braintree Town claimed top spot on the league table, albeit for purely alphabetical reasons, with a convincing 3-0 win over Lewes, who managed a draw in their opening game.
George Purcell grabbed a goal in each half as the home team secured their second win in as many games.
Staines Town matched the result with their own three goal demolition of Dorchester, who were brought down to earth after their opening day rout of St Albans City.
The other two sides on six points are Chelmsford, who were made to work hard by a resolute Woking side for their 2-1 victory, and Basingstoke, who beat Weston-Super-Mare by the same margin.
Weston make up the relegation zone alongside Welling and Worcester, with none of the W's managing to secure a single point from the opening duo of games.
Thurrock 3 - 2 Welling
Woking 1 - 2 Chelmsford
Weymouth 0 - 5 Eastleigh
Bath City 1 - 0 Maidenhead Utd
Braintree Town 3 - 0 Lewes
Dover 2 - 0 Bishop's Stortford
Staines Town 3 - 0 Dorchester
