Saturday's Blue Square South Wrap

There was no change in the play-off zone on Saturday afternoon despite high flyers Dover Athletic and Chelmsford City both recording comfortable wins.

Bishop's Stortford rallied from behind to see off the challenge of Worcester City at Woodside Park.

The visitors broke the deadlock three minutes after the half-time break through Marc McGregor, but Charlie Sheringham's 71st minute strike levelled the scores. Glen Southam popped up four minutes later to give the Bishops a slender lead.

Maidenhead United further distanced themselves from the dreaded drop zone with a battling victory over Bromley at the Courage Stadium.

The visitors opened the scoring in the 76th minute thanks to forward Alex Wall but Bromley responded well by drawing level just five minutes later through Phil Ruggles.

However, it was the Magpies who had the last say as Kieran Knight found the back of the net with an 82nd minute strike to restore their one-goal advantage.

Second-placed Dover Athletic cruised to comfortable victory over Havant and Waterlooville to consolidate their place in the league standings.

Striker Francis Collin put the hosts in a comfortable position with a brace (40, 42) before the half-time break and Adam Birchall further extended their when he found the back of the net in the 54th minute. The rout was complete when Shaun Welford struck in the 85th minute to rub salt in the wounds of the Hawks.

Weymouth remain firmly rooted to the foot of the table after being overrun by a well-oiled Chelmsford City outfit at Wessex Stadium.

The Terras drew first blood when skipper Scott Brice hit the target with a 30th minute effort. However, it was all one-way traffic from that point onwards as a hat-trick from Ricky Holmes (39, 69, 86) and a 90th minute effort from Rob Edmans secured the result for Chelmsford.

Bishop's Stortford 2-1 Worcester

Bromley 1-2 Maidenhead Utd
