Saturday's Blue Square South wrap

Runaway league-leaders Newport County were stunned 4-0 at the hands of Havant and Waterlooville in what was the biggest upset in Saturday's round of Blue Square South games.

Mustafa Tiryaki's second-half double coupled with strikes from Wes Fogden and Jay Gasson in the final 11 minutes gave the Hawks a deserved win at West Leigh Park.

The result moved the hosts up to ninth spot in the standings.

Meanwhile, Dover and Chelmsford continued their battle for second spot as both sides recorded convincing wins.

The Whites added to Weymouth's woes with two unanswered goals from Nicky Southall in the ninth minute and Sammy Moore just before the final whistle.

Over at the Avenue Stadium, third-placed Chelmsford routed Dorchester 3-0. On-loan Bromley forward Warren McBean opened the scoring for the Clarets in 31st minute before a double from Oliver Berquez secured all the spoils.

Play-off candidates Braintree were not as lucky though as they had to settle for a 2-2 draw with St Albans City. Jacob Mingle got Town off to a great start in the 14th minute, before Brad Quinton netted from the spot on the 25-minute mark to double their advantage.

City got a penalty of their own just after the half-hour phase, with Ian Dunn cooly converting to make it 2-1.

In the 47th minute, James Fisher bagged the equaliser and a vital point for the Saints.

At the other end of the table, relegation-battling Lewes secured a morale-boosting 2-1 win over Worcester.

Loanees Robert Gradwell and Steven Brinkhurst ensured that Matt Dinsmore's strike was a mere consolation goal.
