Boro take slender advantage home

Farnborough will take a slender advantage back to the Rushmoor Stadium following a 1-0 victory over Woking in the first leg of their play-off semi-final on Wednesday night.

After a goalless first period at the Kingfield Stadium, Gary Holloway handed Boro a massive boost by scoring the only goal of the game in the 70th minute.

In what was a cagey affair in Surrey, both sides had opportunities to find the back of the net, but in the end it was the side from Hampshire who grabbed the all-important first-leg lead.

The winner of this tie over two legs will meet either Ebbsfleet United or Chelmsford City in the play-off final on 15 May for a spot in the Blue Square Bet Premier for next season.
