Saturday's Blue Square Bet South wrap

Blue Square Bet South leaders Woking were brought down to earth by Maidenhead, as second-placed Dartford closed the gap on the Cardinals.

Chelmsford City bolstered their promotion chances as they edged past Hampton & Richmond Borough 1-0 thanks to David Rainford's penalty on the hour mark.

At Silverlake Stadium, Phillip Page netted the only goal of the game via the penalty spot as Farnborough got past Eastleigh 1-0.

Havant & Waterlooville slumped to a 4-2 defeat at West Leigh Park as Boreham Wood's Mauro Vilhete (3, 37) and Mario Noto (44, pen 62) bagged a brace a piece to overshadow Scott Jones (33) and Steven Ramsey's (53) strikes for the hosts.

Salisbury City failed to take advantage of their home-ground support at The Raymond McEnhill Stadium as they were beaten 1-0 by Dover Athletic thanks to a Billy Bricknell winner in the 86th minute.

Strikes from Tim Sills (4) and David Pratt (87) at Wheatsheaf Park secured a relatively straight-forward away win for Basingstoke Town over Staines Town.

Sutton United and Dartford both came away with three points after narrow 1-0 wins over Thurrock and Tonbridge Angels respectively. Kyle Vassell (85) was on target for the Us, while Tom Champion (18) netted the winner for the Darts.

The home fans at Treyew Road were left disappointed after their beloved Truro City were beaten 2-0 by Eastbourne Borough after first-half goals from Gary Hart (36) and Matt Crabb (44).

Welling United consolidated their place in the Blue Square Bet South play-off positions as they clinched all three points with a 2-1 win over Bromley.

Scott Kinch (25) opened the scoring for the hosts, but Hakeem Araba (50) levelled matters again. The winner came from Dean Cracknell (77) who sent the Wings supporters home happy.

Dorchester Town ran riot at The Avenue Stadium as they thrashed Weston-super-Mare 4-0. Tom Nichols (13), Kyle Critchell (22), Sam Malson (45) and Ryan Dovell (73) were on target for the Magpies.

A two-goal salvo from Bobby Behzadi (pen 71) and Charlie Strutton (73) led Maidenhead United to a shock 2-0 victory over league leaders Woking at Kingfield Stadium.
