Tuesday's Blue Square South preview

Lewes and Eastbourne Borough are tied a the top of the Blue Square South table ahead of Tuedays night's round of fixtures while Sutton sit bottom with four points.

Basingstoke Town v Dorchester Town

Basingstoke play host to Dorchester on Tuesday night coming off a fantastic result against Thurrock over the weekend. Basingstoke won the match 3-0 but should have had more as they dominated the fixture from start to finish. Scott Fitzgerald has grabbed five goals so far this season, third to Lewes' Paul Booth with nine. Dorchester themselves also claimed three-points on Saturday but, in less convincing fashion. Both sides currently sit on eleven points and will see this clash as the perfect opportunity to climb up the league table.

Basingstoke have odds of 11/8 to beat Dorchester.

Bishop's Stortford v Hampton & Richmond

Bishop's Stortford will be looking to put their disappointing weekend loss behind them when they entertain Hampton & Richmond. The visitors will be in a different mood to that of they hosts as they will look to build on their fantastic result over the weekend. Hampton & Richmond currently occupy sixth spot on the log and will see Tuesday nights fixture as the ideal opportunity to move ever closer to the early season pace-setters.

Hampton & Richmond have odds of 2/1 to earn three-points.

Bognor Regis Town v Bath City

Bath City travel to Bognor Regis Town on Tuesday night looking to put their weekend result behind them as they look to get back to winning ways. Bognor Regis Town, however, will have something to say about that as they too suffered a poor result over the weekend and will be looking to distance themselves from the dreaded drop zone. All signs point to Bath however, with the visitors likely to continue their fine early season form.

Blue SQ have odds of 14/1 for Bath to win the match 3-1.

Braintree Town v Fisher Athletic

Braintree Town and Fisher Athletic contest an early season mid-table battle on Tuesday night. Both sides go into the clash off the back of defeats and both teams will look to put amends to their poor start to the new season. Braintree will look to put early pressure on the Fisher defence as they have shipped in 13 goals in their opening eight fixtures. It should be an eagerly contested fixture and will come down to the side who is able to take their chances.

Blue SQ have odds of 15/8 for the match to produce four or more goals.

Eastbourne Borough v Welling United

Eastbourne take on the challenge of Welling buoyed by their weekend victory over Braintree. The home side have made a fantastic start to the new campaign and will see Welling, who lost over the weekend, as a perfect opportunity for them to continue their run of good form. United lost at home to Hayes & Yeading on Saturday, a result which leaves them languishing towards the bottom of the table. The three-points should be taken by the home side but the visitors have been known to cause an upset.

Blue SQ have odds of 13/5 for the match to end in a draw.

Eastleigh v Newport County

Eastleigh missed out on the opportunity to move even closer to the summit of the Blue Square South table on Saturday afternoon, but the high-flying club will be looking to put that right when the host Newport County on Tuesday. The home side have made an impressive start to the new season, winning five of their opening eight matches. Newport, however, have made an indifferent start to the campaign but, have the opportunity to catch their hosts if they are able to win the match. County have conceded just four goals so far this season and it will be down to Eastleigh's frontmen if they want to accrue maximum points.

Eastleigh have odds of 14/1 to win the match 3-0.

Maidenhead United v Cambridge City

Manny Williams will look to continue his fine form in front of goal when his team Maidenhead United play host to Cambridge City. City, however, have a secret weapon of their own in the shape of Michael Gash who has seven goals to his name. United came through a bruising six-goal thriller with Havant and Waterlooville on Saturday and will look to build on their fine form in front of goal. There is no doubt that there will be goals, it will just come down to the team with the most resolve on the day.

Blue SQ have odds of 15/8 for the match to end with four or more goals.

Sutton United v Hayes & Yeading

Sutton United entertain Hayes & Yeading on Tuesday night with the match seen as an early season six-pointer as both sides are struggling at the wrong end of the table. Both sides have won just one match so far this season and the sides will be looking to make amends for that statistic. With both teams conceding goals on a regular basis, the match should see a few goals. It should be an exciting Tuesday evening at the Borough Sports Ground.

Blue SQ have odds of 12/1 for the match to end in a 2-2 draw.
