Fourth-placed Bath City face top-of-the-table Eastbourne Borough in the pick of the Blue Square South fixtures this weekend.
Bath City v Eastbourne Borough
Eastbourne are in great form and lie top of the table with 31 points from 13 games. Borough are unbeaten so far this season, and have a record of won nine and drawn four. Fourth-placed Bath have also made a great start and have 24 points on the board from 13 matches, having won seven, drawn three and lost three.
City are unbeaten in their two previous matches against Eastbourne and I reckon a draw is on the cards in this one.
Blue SQ have odds of 6/1 on 1-1 draw.
Bishop's Stortford v Maidenhead United
Fifth-placed Bishop's Stortford have 23 points from 13 matches with six wins, five draws and two defeats so far this season. In contrast, Maidenhead United are struggling down in 18th spot with 12 points from 13 games, and have won two, drawn six and lost five.
Bishop's Stortford are in great form and have home advantage, so they're my pick.
Braintree Town v Basingstoke
Braintree take on Basingstoke in a mid-table clash at the Cressing Road Stadium. Braintree are in 14th spot with 17 points from 14 games and have won four, drawn five and lost five. Basingstoke are in 10th place with 21 points from 14 matches, having won six, drawn three and lost five.
Havant & Waterlooville v Hampton & Richmond
Eleventh-placed Havant & Waterlooville take on Hampton & Richmond at Westleigh Park. Havant & Waterlooville have 20 points from 13 matches and have won five, drawn five and lost just three this season. Hampton & Richmond have 22 points from 13 matches and have won six, drawn four and lost three.
This one is close to call and I'm going for a draw.
Hayes & Yeading v Eastleigh
Hayes & Yeading are in 13th place and they meet seventh-placed Eastleigh at Church Road.
Hayes & Yeading have won four, drawn five and lost four. By contrast, Eastleigh tend to either win or lose, and have won seven, drawn one and lost five so far this season. They have 22 points from 13 games and I think they'll take the spoils in this one.
Blue SQ have given the visiting side odds of 9/1 on a 2-1 victory.
Lewes v Sutton United:
Lewes take on Sutton United on the back of a superb 2-0 win over Blue Square Premier outfit Grays Athletic in their FA Cup four qualifying round replay in midweek. Lewes are in second place with 28 points from 13 matches and have lost just once this season, with eight wins and four draws. Sutton are second-from-bottom, with just nine points on the board from 14 matches and have won two, drawn three and lost nine.
It's got to be Lewes for the win.
Newport County v Dorchester
Newport County have made a great start to the current campaign and lie in third place with 25 points from 14 matches. County have won seven, drawn four and lost three, while Dorchester are really struggling down in 19th spot with 12 points from 14 games.
They've won three, drawn three and lost eight and I don't think they'll take anything from their visit to the Newport Stadium.
Blue SQ have given the visiting side odds of 10/1 on a 1-0 win.
St Albans v Bognor Regis Town
St Albans are having a torrid season and are second-from-bottom with nine points from 14 matches. The Saints have a record of won two, drawn three and lost nine, while Bognor Regis Town are only slightly better off. Town are third-from-bottom and have 11 points on the board from the same number of matches. Town have won three, drawn two and lost nine so this clash at Clarence Park is a real early-season six-pointer.
I think Town will just edge it and get the win.
Thurrock v Fisher Athletic
Thurrock are in 15th place with 17 points from 13 matches. They've won five, drawn two and lost six, while Fisher have 19 points from 14 matches so both teams are evenly matched.
Athletic have won six, drawn one and lost seven and are the slight favourites to take the points.
Blue SQ have odds of 13/2 on the match ending 1-1.
Welling v Bromley
Welling face Bromley at Park View Road and will be looking to climb the table as they currently lie in 17th place. The home side have 14 points from 14 games and have won four, drawn two and lost eight. Bromley are in much better form and have 21 points from 13 matches.
They have won six, drawn three and lost four so with that record I'm going for Bromley to win.
Weston-S-Mare v Cambridge City
Weston-Super-Mare are going great and are in eighth place with 22 points from 14 matches. They have won seven, drawn one and lost six, while visitors Cambridge City are in 16th place with 15 points from the same number of games. City have won three, drawn six and lost five.
I think it will be a home win for Weston-Super-Mare.
