Terry Brown's side started their campaign brightly with an emphatic 4-1 win over Newport County on Saturday afternoon.
The Dons boss will hand a late fitness test to midfielder Sam Hatton, who was substituted in the first-half after picking up a knock.
He told the club's website: "It was a nervous start to the game and not a lot of good football was played in the first 30 minutes.
"However, when you have a Jon Main in your side it's a question of just feeding him the right ball and eventually he was able to gorge himself on the service he received.
"Overall, I am pleased with the whole team performance and was particularly pleased with the contribution by the youngsters. Unfortunately, Sam Hatton received a knock in the first half and is doubtful for Tuesday's game against Thurrock.
"Having secured an opening day victory it is important that the team focuses on the next two home games."
Meanwhile, Thurrock will be keen to record their first win of the campaign after suffering a narrow defeat at the hands of Eastleigh on Saturday.
The Fleet are boosted by the return of Greg Lincoln, who will have served his suspension but Lee Flynn is still unavailable as he serves a ban of his own.

Manager Martin Hayes will be hopeful of the return of midfielders Danny Green and Michael Hyem.
Green was forced to withdraw from the squad that travelled to Weston-super-Mare with a groin strain.
Hyem suffered ligament damage in the pre-season friendly at Dartford, but is close to making a full recovery.
Bromley, meanwhile, also suffered an opening day defeat and will certainly be focused on the task at hand.
Mark Corneille missed Saturday's clash through illness and is a doubt whilst Jerrome Sobers continues his recovery from a groin injury.
Shaun Brooks' Magpies prepare for the visit of Basingstoke Town on Tuesday as they look to record their first home victory of the season.
Brooks will hand a late fitness test to Portuguese midfielder Ivan Forbes, who had to be substituted in the first half of Saturday's 1-0 win against Braintree Town.
He told the Dorset Echo: "Ivan started the game but came off after about 30 minutes.
"He took a whack to his knee, which looked quite bad at the time, but it has settled down a bit and we'll assess him today."
He added: "Braintree's a tough place to come but we spoke beforehand about being disciplined and resilient. We've now got a wonderful opportunity, with two home games coming up, to capitalise on this result.
"We want to enjoy this victory, especially after losing a lot of games last year, but we will make sure we get our feet back on the ground and approach the Basingstoke game in the right manner.
"I think we're an unknown quantity this year. People will look at us and see that we've got more quality and experience and this result could be a statement of intent, but we have to build on it."

"It is not the end of the world and we have to keep together and stay strong," Holdsworth told his club's website.
"This was a wake-up call for us and at the moment it is hurting. They gave us a lesson in finishing."
Hampton & Richmond Borough prepare for the visit of Bognor Regis Town to Beveree Stadium on Tuesday evening as they look collect all three points in their first home match of the new campaign.
A late second-half goal from Lawrence Yaku spared the Beavers the blushes as they earned a share of the spoils with Basingstoke TOwn on Saturday.
Bognor manager Mick Jenkins will be hoping his side can get a good result on Tuesday evening to open their Blue Square South account.
"I was disappointed we didn't get a point out of the Worcester game," Jenkins told the Bognor Regis Observer.
"We didn't play too well in the first half but came back well after the break.
"Thirteen of the 16 on duty on Saturday were new to the club, and therefore will take a little time to gel. That said, games are coming thick and fast so we have start getting our game together and defending better pretty quickly.
"At Hampton, I will be looking for grit and determination - and for those individual errors to be cut out."
Dave Waterman and Paul Hinshelwood are among players pushing for a start at Hampton after only making the bench on Saturday.
Maidenhead boss Johnson Hippolyte will be hoping his side can build on an opening day win with another victory when Bath City make the trip to York Road.
Saturday's win at Bromley, was United's first on the opening day since Welling United were beaten 2-1 at Park View Road in August 2003.

"We started badly and it went from bad to worse. It was our worst defeat since Adie (Britton) and me have been managing the side.
"We've got a lot of bruised people in there now. I feel bruised and I apologise for our second-half performance - I thought we were woeful.
"But one thing I do know about our lads is they are fighters and we've got to come back from this reverse.
"I've told the lads in no uncertain terms that I expect a reaction from today's game and that's got to come on Tuesday night."
Ged Roddy's Team Bath squad will undoubtedly be in high spirits after the Weekend's massive win and will be looking for more of the same when Hayes & Yeading visit Twerton Park.
The Scholars knocked an impressive six goals past a hapless Fisher Athletic squad at Champion Hill and Hayes & Yeading can expect a detailed examination from Roddy's men.
Club Secretary Phil Searle said: "The great team performance showed the benefits of keeping much of the same squad from one season to the next."
United face a daunting trip to Bath after Saturday's disappointing home defeat at the hands of Blue Square South newcomers Chelmsford City.

The wings recorded four goals without reply and new signing Ryan Martin, who joined the club on Friday afternoon, made the perfect debut by bagging a superb hat-trick.
Braintree Manager Lee Patterson spoke to the club website about Saturday's 1-0 home defeat to Dorchester.
He said: "After all the hard work in pre season it was a very disappointing outcome to the first game, especially as we were at home.
"I felt we were in control of the game during the first half, although we lacked the final ball and never tested their goalkeeper.
"The goal was a soft one to concede and it turned out to be enough. We have to react in a positive way and put things right at Welling on Tuesday evening.
"Welling picked up a great result away at Bath, so will be full of confidence. We need to work hard and correct some things to get the best out of our ball players.
"It's always nice to start with a win, but there is a long way to go and I have belief in our squad to put things right."
