Blue SQ South Bank Holiday preview

League Leaders Team Bath face local rivals Bath City at Twerton Park, while AFC Wimbledon and Eastleigh both face away trips on Saturday aftertnoon.

Basingstoke v AFC Wimbledon

After three draws from three, Basingstoke will be looking for their first win when high-flying AFC Wimbledon travel to The Camrose.

'Stoke manager, Frank Gray, has two players missing from his squad for the clash with the Don's.

Sean Hankin is suspended following his sending off against Hampton & Richmond, whilst Matt Warner is out with an ankle injury picked up against Welling last Saturday.

Captian Jason Goodliffe should be back in the Don's squad after recovering from a calf strain

Chris Sullivan is on his way back to full fitness after a shoulder operation in the summer, but will not be ready for Saturday's game.

Long-term absentees Lewis Taylor and Mike Rayner remain sidelined.

Bath City v Team Bath

It's derby day in Bath as City 'host' Blue Square South front-runners Team Bath.

City have been hit by an injury crisis of late, and will definitely be without Ali Gibb (ankle) and Dave Gilroy (knee).

Jim Rollo and Scott Rogers both suffered ankle ligament damage during last weekends clash match at bishop's Stortford, and may not recover in time for the derby, whilst Jamie Gosling, who has missed the last two matches with back trouble, is also a doubt.

Chris Holland sat out training earlier in the week as a result of back trouble. Steve Jones and Mark Badman have been struck down by viruses and are in doubt.

Conversly, Ged Roddy has his full squad ready for the game.

Bognor Regis Town v Maidenhead Utd

Despite claiming just one point from their opening three fixtures, Rocks manager Mick Jenkins is optimistic his side can improve on their current predicament.

"It's not ideal having only one point at this stage, but it's very early days. I'm not going to start looking too far ahead and panicking. We've been given a tough set of fixtures to start with but I'm confident we'll soon have our first win behind us and will go from strength to strength," Jenkins told the Bognor Regis Observer

Striker Zak Burke and midfielder Scott Balderson arrived at Nyewood Lane last week and are in line for their first starts at the club.

Maidenhead have a full squad available for the clash.

Braintree Town v Hampton & Richmond

Winless Braintree Town face an uphill battle to turn their season around as they host mid-table Hampton & Richmond

As if 0 points from 3 games was not enough, Lee Patterson's chargers head into the clash without skipper Bradley Quinton.

Quinton is suffering from an ankle injury that may require surgery. "He's having a course of treatment at present that hopefully will solve the problem and if it does clear up then he could be in contention for the game against City. If it doesn't clear up then he will need an operation and that could well mean him being out for up to 10 weeks," Patterson told Total Essex.

Beavers midfileders Shaun McAuley (ankle ligaments) and Francis Quarm (ankle) have bothe been ruled out of the trip to Cressing Road Stadium.

Barrie Matthews returns after a three match suspension, and manger Alan Devonshire also returns to the touchline after serving his ban.

Bromley v Eastleigh

Unbeaten Eastleigh find themselves in third spot on the Blue Square South table, behind AFC Wimbledon and Team Bath on goal difference only.

Ian Baird has the luxury of a full squad at his disposal as the Spitfires look to carry their good form forward.

Ravens boss Mark Goldberg is confident his side can build on their solid start to the season, and already has one eye on the play-offs.

"I am sure we can challenge for the playoffs, but we have to be getting something from games like these if we wish to be there at the end of the season," Goldberg told the Bromley Times.

Like his counterpart, Goldberg has a full squad available.

Fisher Athletic v Havant & Waterlooville

From pre-season favourites to bottom half strugglers the season's start has not been kind to Havant & Waterlooville.

Despite the poor start Hawks captain Jamie Collins is adamant his side can turn their season around.

"It has not been the start we wanted or could have predicted. We are not panicking yet and there is still a long way to go. All we need is to get a result and that will kick-start our season," Collins told The News.

The Hawks have a full squad for the trip to Champion Hill.

Fisher Athletic are rooted to the bottom of the Blue Square South table, and will be hoping to get off the mark on Saturday, they head into the fixture free of injury and suspension.

Hayes & Yeading v Bishop's Stortford

After claiming their first win of the season last weekend Hayes & Yeading welcome Bishop's Stortford to Church Road brimming with confidence.

Defenders Matt Ruby and Neil Martin made their debuts for United on Saturday and look set to continue to feature.

Garry Haylock has his full compliment available.

The Bishops will certainly by boosted by the news that Richard Howell is nearing a return to first team action. The winger has been sidelined for over three years after breaking his leg on three separate occasions.

Howell is the only absentee for the visiting side.

Newport County v Dorchester

Dorchester Town travel to Newport Stadium looking to continue their unbeaten start to the season.

The Magpies could be boosted by the return of midfielder Jamie Gleeson who has recovered from a knee injury and as expected to be fit enough for a place on the bench.

However, long-term casualties, Mark Jermyn (knee), Ivan Forbes (knee) and Roy O'Brien (ankle) remain sidelined.

Exiles manager Dean Holdsworth only has one injury worry with Nathan Davies suffering the after effects of a head injury suffered against Chelmsford.

Winger Kevin Cooper has recovered from his knee injury, whilst a week of rest has seen Kevin Stephens shake off a thigh strain.

St Albans City v Chelmsford City

St Albans' will be boyed by the return of club captain Lee Clarke, who has recvoered quicker then expected from a hip injury and is avliable for selection.

The Saints will need Clarke's goal-scoring prowess as they come up against a Clarets tema that is yet to conceed a goal this season.

Such has been the success of Chelmsford's defensive combination that new signing Steve Robinson has yet to make his debut for the club, having to be content with a place on the bench.

City will be without Ollie Berquez and Chris Duffy for the clash at Clarence Park.

Thurrock v Welling

Welling look to maintain their unbeaten run as they travel to Ship Lane to fact strugglers Thurrock.

Andy Ford is unlikely to make any chances to what has been a successful combination to date even though Dorian Smith has impressed coming off the bench.

Orlando Smith is the only absentee for the Wings, with a knee injury keeping him out of action.

Thurrock have their full compliment available as they attempt to register their first point.

Weston-Super-Mare v Worcester

Worcester head to Woodspring Stadium, hoping to get their season back on track after their loss last weekend.

City boss Richard Dryden has the luxury of a full squad to pick from for the clash with the Segulls, with midfielder Dave Bampton (foot) and winger Matt Dodd (groin strain) both recovering from injury.

Former Cardiff City youngster, Bradley Middleton, signed for the Woodspring team on Tuesday, and is expected to feature in Saturday's game.

Tony Ricketts has a full squad at his disposal for Saturday's clash.
