Dover Athletic v Woking

Dover are going into their Blue Square South play-off semi-final against Woking on Saturday with the confidence that they can overturn a 2-1 deficit from the first leg.

The Whites took a third minute lead through Ollie Shulz only to see The Cards fight back with goals from Moses Ademola and Matt Wright.

Nevertheless, club boss Andy Hessenthaler says the belief of his players and the support of the fans will see them through.

He told Kent Online: "Considering the amount of injuries we've got, I was delighted with the way we played (at Woking), and I feel we have given ourselves a massive chance of progressing to the final.

"In the changing room after the game there was a great belief among the players that we could do it on Saturday, and I know the fans will give us all the backing we need."

Hessenthaler was forced to restructure his side for the first match with Sammy Moore out with an ankle injury while Jon Wallis had suffered a calf strain.

Jake Leberl was drafted into the middle of the park while Shaun Welford took his place up front with Adam Birchall - and the Dover manager faces an anxious wait to see who will be fit the second time around.

Meanwhile, Woking boss Graham Baker is sweating on the fitness of Harry Arter and Giuseppe Sole.

Baker is waiting on the results of an X-ray for Sole's injured hip, while Arter has had miss the last two games with illness.

He told the Surrey Herald: "It is a seven-day bug and he (Arter) has not been eating, but hopefully he can get some fuel into himself and we will know more come Friday.

"But if he is physically fit enough then we will have to look at what he has missed and assess if he has the strength and sharpness. We are not going to do anything silly and play someone who is not ready."

Baker too believes that his side can overcome their opposition and is looking for them to display the same sort of character they did in the first leg when they managed to overcome going down to an early goal.

"The players have shown how they have grown during the season. In the last 10 games they have had that mentality about them that they are never beaten and they have taken that into these games."

The Cards will go into the tie knowing they have beaten the Whites three times this season.

The eventual winners will face Bath or Chelmsford in the final on May 6. Bath have the advantage going into their second-leg after they won 2-0 at home in the first leg of their semi-final.
