Saturday's Blue Square Bet South Preview

Blue Square Bet South leaders Braintree Town will be looking to maintain their momentum at the top of the table when they travel to St Albans on Saturday.

The Iron have recorded impressive victories over Farnborough and Maidenhead notching up six points in the process.

However, they come up against a hungry Saints outfit who are searching for their first victory of the season.

Bromley, who have also won two from two, face a tricky away fixture against Hampton & Richmond, who have looked solid thus far.

The Ravens put four past Boreham Wood on Tuesday and boss Mark Goldberg will be looking for more of the same on Saturday.

Dover, who have picked up four points from their first two ties, host a Staines Town side desperate to get back to winning ways after their mid-week loss to Bishop's Stortford.

Steve Cordery won't be happy from what he has seen of his side so far this term and will be looking for an improved showing against the unbeaten Whites.

Chelmsford responded perfectly to the disappointment of losing in the play-offs last term by claiming a full compliment of points from their first two outings and they will aim to continue in this vein when they host Eastleigh at Melbourne Stadium.

However, they will have their hands full against a Spitfires side who are brimming with confidence after their 4-0 drubbing of Dorchester on Tuesday.

The only other unbeaten side in the league, Bishop's Stortford , host Ebbsfleet United at Woodside Park.

The Fleet, who were relegated from the Blue Square Premier last season, recovered from their opening day defeat to beat Farnborough in their mid-week game.

Bottom of the table Boreham, Woking and Farnborough will all be looking for their first points of the season.

Boreham host Thurrock, Woking are away to Dorchester and Farnborough entertain Dartford.

In Monday's fixtures Basingstoke take on Dorchester at the Camrose and Maidenhead United travel to Eastleigh.
