Tuesday's Blue Square Bet South Preview

League leaders Chelmsford will aim to extend their unbeaten run when they visit seventh-placed Welling in Blue Square Bet South action on Tuesday.

The Clarets, who eased to a 3-0 victory over Eastleigh on the weekend, have maximum points from three games ahead of their trip to Park View Road.

However, the Wings are on the up after recording a 3-1 win at Havant & Waterlooville on Saturday.

It doesn't get any easier for the all-but-grounded Hawks as they head to The Courage Stadium to face second-placed Bromley. Mark Goldberg's buoyant charges are level on points with Chelmsford and will be eager to claim top spot.

Braintree Town hope to apply further pressure on the summit as they host struggling Boreham Wood at Cressing Road Stadium.

Relegation-placed Dartford will also be tested as they meet Bishop's Stortford at Princes Park. The Isthmian League Premier Division champions are finding life noticeably harder in the higher division, having scrapped together one point from their opening three fixtures.

The Bishops, meanwhile, are in comparative comfort at fifth place on the table. However, they suffered their first loss of the season on Saturday - an emphatic 3-0 defeat to play-off rivals Ebbsfleet United and are naturally hungry to get back on track.

The fourth-placed Fleet should face an audit from visiting Dover at Stonebridge Road. The Whites are a point shy of the play-off places and will be motivated after dropping points at home to Staines Town on Saturday.

The Swans have four points from their first three encounters and will hope for more when they entertain 14th-placed St Albans at Wheatsheaf Park.

Thurrock are sitting a little to close to the drop zone for their liking ahead of their tie with Hampton & Richmond at Ship Lane.

While in other action, mid-table outfit Lewes will clash with 16th-placed Woking at Kingfield Stadium.

The Rooks were held to a goalless home draw by lowly Basingstoke on Saturday. By contrast, The Cards bagged their first three points of their campaign at the expense of bottom-placed Dorchester on the weekend.
