Kidderminster kick off their Blue Square Premier campaign against newly-promoted Hayes & Yeading at Aggborough on Saturday afternoon.
The Harriers could land up handing up to 10 players their debuts for the opening day encounter. Gavin Caines and John Finnigan are the most likely starters while the defence and goal area will be marshaled by 'keeper Dean Coleman.
New skipper Chris McPhee will take charge of his side for the first time this season and coach Mark Yates is confident that he has made the right selection for the role.
"People look up to Chris - one because his six foot three and two because of the effort and quality that he gives us. Whatever I ask him to do, wherever I ask him to play, he does a good job," Yates told Kidderminsters' official website.
Yates was full of praise for the rest of his squad too, certain that he has the right blend of characters to compete at the required level.
"It's about having leaders out there and players don't have to have the armband on. They can lead vocally and with their energy and performances and I want a squad full of leaders. On the whole we have a bubbly bunch, a young, enthusiastic, cocky little bunch. And I don't mean that as arrogance or anything like that, but they aren't short of a word and there's good spirit among them! If we're going to do well then that's the key," he revealed
Hayes and Yeading United welcome a bunch of new faces themselves with the aquisitions of no less than seven new members to their squad. The likes of Marc Canham, Adam Green and Justin Cochrane could all be handed their competitive debuts.
