Hayes & Yeading v Mansfield

Hayes & Yeading will be looking to continue their fine run of form, which has seen them take seven points out of a possible nine, when they entertain Mansfield.

New United stopper Clark Masters, who joined recently from League outfit Aldershot is relishing the chance of playing first-team football.

The 22-year-old is set to replace Simon Overland in goal for the game and he is confident that he can help secure Garry Haylock's charges' safety in the Blue Square Premier this season.

He told the Uxbridge Gazette: "I am just hungry to play football for Hayes as it has been a year and a half since I was playing regularly.

"I dropped out of the league to come here and play football as I am not a goalkeeper who likes to sit around on the bench.

"I want to try and get some games under my belt and as soon as Gary gave me the opportunity. I have not just come here for my own reasons as I aim to help Hayes stay up."

Hayes boss Haylock will be buoyed by the news that he has no new injury concerns for the game.

Mansfield defender Scott Garner is looking forward to getting back on the playing surface after the Stag's last two outings were called off.

Garner told This is Nottingham: "It has been frustrating to have two games called off in quick succession, especially when they are at home," said Garner.

"They are the games you are looking to pick up a lot of points from and we were looking to take points off two sides who are around us.

"Our last home game against Gateshead was massively disappointing especially because it was in front of such a big crowd."

The defender doesn't believe that the trip to Church Road will hamper their chances of success on Saturday.

"There are a lot of long trips, but you just get on with it," he added.

Stags striker Jake Speight is close to a return from his knee injury, but it seems that game against United has come a week too early for him.

But in his absence Rob Duffy, Jon Shaw and Kyle Perry are all vying for a place in Dean Holdsworth's starting line-up.
