Hayes and Yeading boss Garry Haylock is upbeat ahead of his team's clash with visiting Forest Green on Tuesday night.
United, who were recently hammered 5-0 by Eastbourne Borough, recovered with a 2-1 victory over Grimsby Town on Saturday, with Haylock hoping for a repeat display at Church Road.
"Hopefully, we've shown a few people today that we may be a small club, but little Hayes can play football as well," he told the Uxbridge Gazette.
"I was pleased we held on because this side can only improve, it's got a lot more quality in it this season."
The fifth-placed hosts have six points from two games, while Rovers - who were held to a 1-1 draw by Gateshead on the weekend - are just shy of the play-off zone with four points.
Rovers boss David Hockaday will no doubt be hungry for victory after voicing his frustration with the recent stalemate.
"We should have had the game wrapped by half-time - we had all the play and all the chances," he told this is Gloucestershire.
He added: "We're disappointed with a 1-1 draw against a team in form, so it could be worse."
