Cordery: Truro parked the bus

Staines Town boss Steve Cordery says Truro City "parked the bus" in their 1-1 draw this past weekend.

The spoils were shared at Wheatsheaf Park on Saturday, as David Wheeler (62) cancelled out Scott Walker's 31st minute opener for City.

"Truro got what they came for, they parked the bus," Cordery told get Surrey.

"Truro had one attack and scored. We knocked on the door a few times and got the one goal but couldn't get the winner. They couldn't get out of their own half.

"The performance was good and we have had some good wins this season but not managed to score enough goals."

The result leaves Staines in the Blue Square Bet South relegation zone with five games remaining.
