Luton Town v Wrexham

Paul Buckle's Luton Town welcome second-placed Wrexham at Kenilworth Road on Thursday night for their play-off semi-final first-leg clash.

The Hatters have enjoyed an upturn in their form since the appointment of Buckle and ended the Blue Square Bet Premier campaign with a flourish by defeating league champions Fleetwood Town 2-0 at Highbury Stadium.

Buckle is hopeful that striker Amari Morgan-Smith will be fit to play after returning to training this week.

However, midfielder Godfrey Poku is rated doubtful with an ankle injury.

With regards to Morgan-Smith's possible involvement, Buckle told the club's official website: "I was hoping he would be back for the Fleetwood game but it wasn't to be.

"He's been fully involved in training and I've got my fingers crossed on him for Thursday.

"He's come through sessions and done ever so well and he's worked hard, really hard. He's a big, big plus for us and he's desperate to play - and he's got a chance.

"He's got a chance because I like strikers, I like to entertain."

Wrexham player-manager Andy Morrell has an almost fully-fit squad to choose from with a just a handful of players rated doubtful to feature.

Striker Rob Ogleby is the only confirmed absentee, while Jake Speight (tonsillitis) and Glen Little (calf) will face late tests.

Looking ahead to the crunch clash, Morrell told the Daily Post: "There are not many chances to be in the play-offs, although we did it last year, but these games don't come around very often and if you don't enjoy them then you are missing out.

"We have to keep the tie alive for Monday and they will be saying the same thing. We've got to try and win (tonight) and if we do that we will be on the front foot.

"If the crowd get behind them we are going to be under a bit of pressure at times, but our defence has been good this season, they have done very well and we've kept a lot of clean sheets.

"The aim is to go there and give them a good game. If we come back with something then that's great."
