Hayes 1-3 Mansfield Town

Mansfield Town secured their Blue Square Bet Premier play-off place on Saturday, while Hayes and Yeading edged closer to relegation after their 3-1 loss at Kingfield Sports Ground.

The Stags are securely in third place with two games to go, while Hayes are in 21st and four points below the dotted line with only two chances left to bag points.

The Stags got the ball rolling in the fifth minute when Anthony Howell slotted into the corner of the net from close range off Matt Green's pass, but they went into the break on level terms after Piero Mingoia tapped home in the 37th minute.

The second half saw Ross Dyer retake the lead for the visitors, sending a volleyed rocket into the net from 20 yards out in the 67th minute.

Green made sure of the three points in the 71st minute, rounding the 'keeper to score his 29th goal of the season after picking up a speculative long pass.

Mansfield's next game is sure to be a tight affair, against second-placed Wrexham, while Hayes must overcome Lincoln City to keep their Premier dreams alive.
