Forest Green v Lincoln City

Forest Green Rovers will have the chance to equal a club record when David Holdsworth's Lincoln City visit the New Lawn on Saturday afternoon.

If David Hockaday's men manage to avoid defeat on Saturday, they will stretch their unbeaten league run to nine matches.

They will have added motivation to perform well in this league encounter after being knocked out of the FA Trophy by Newport County on Tuesday evening.

Midfielder Al Bangura has missed the Rovers' last three matches with a knee problem and he will miss out again this weekend.

Hockaday told The Citizen: "We need to get some clarity with Al because he is desperate to be playing and we obviously want to do what's best for him.

"We've had a lot of injuries but we haven't bleated on about it and the players have done brilliantly.

"It didn't happen for us (against Newport) but not through lack of effort or wanting to get the ball down and play."

Lincoln boss David Holdsworth has no new injury concerns to contend with after last Saturday's 3-1 victory over Colwyn Bay in the FA Trophy.

On-loan goalkeeper Paul Farman will be pushing for a starting berth after being cup tied for the Colwyn Bay clash.

Midfielder Francis Laurent is expected to retain his starting place despite needing stitches to heal a gash on his arm.

Injured strike duo Sam Smith and Andy Hutchinson are the only absentees for the Red Imps.
