Gateshead 3-3 Lincoln City

A late goal from Sam Smith earned Lincoln a point at Gateshead, in a frantic game that saw six goals scored and both teams reduced to ten men.

Gateshead came into the game having won their last three fixtures, while their opponents had suffered three straight defeats in the same number of games.

Richard Pacquette headed the Imps into the lead in the 8th minute, before John Shaw restored parity with a low drive from 12 yards out in the 28th minute.

Yemi Odubade gave the hosts the advantage heading into the break, heading home powerfully two minutes into first half stoppage time.

Odubade scored his second in the 53rd minute, producing a tidy finish to give the Tynesiders a two goal cushion with approximately 40 minutes left to play.

In the 70th minute, the referee saw fit to dismiss both James Marwood and Alan Power after the two opposing players engaged in a heated confrontation after the whistle had been blown.

With both teams struggling to adapt to losing a player, Pacquette stole into space to bang in a goal from close range with only eight minutes left on the clock.

Smith would step up in the 87th minute, firing the ball home from 18 yards out to break the home support's hearts and snatch a point for his team.

With 55 percent of possession, and twice the number of shots on target, the Tynesiders will feel they let the win slip through their fingers.
